government of Malta is committed to the Open Government Partnership (OGP) as
the principles of promoting transparency, empowering citizens, fighting
corruption and harnessing new technologies are all in line with government’s
views and policies. This commitment was formalised by the signing of the OGP in

2012-2014. The first NAP focused on two grand challenges, namely: ‘Creating
Safer Communities’ and ‘Increasing Corporate Accountability’.
