Parliamentary Secretary Dr. Andy Ellul was born on 25 March 1975.

He was co-opted to Parliament for the first time in January of 2022. Following his successful election to Parliament in March of 2022, Dr Ellul was appointed to serve as Parliamentary Secretary for Social Dialogue within the Office of the Prime Minister. The Government Parliamentary Group also appointed Dr Ellul to serve as its Whip.

Prior to his appointment to the Cabinet of Ministers, Hon Ellul was a practising lawyer specialising in administrative law. Dr Ellul has also served as legal and policy consultant to Government, where he was involved in several legislative reforms most notably in relation to social and administrative matters. He was also Head of the Maltese delegation to the Council of Europe’s Lanzarote Committee.

Together with his partner Claudia, they have a nine-year-old son, Gianni.
